As Andrew and some of his naturist liberation friends walked nude around the streets of Berkeley, California, they attracted a lot of attention. Many people, no doubt, grabbed their cameras and took pictures of him doing his thing. One of the photographers was Ace Backwords, who took the photos on this page and published them in his Telegraph Avenue Street Calendar for 1994. There are several more in the calendar itself.
The calendar is now a collector’s item -- good luck finding a copy! But by special permission of Mr. Backwords, three of the photos are reproduced below.
